What Can We Learn from Ancient Trees - Featuring Save the Redwoods League by KMUD Public Affairs

In January 2022, Save the Redwoods League announced the purchase of a property now known as the Lost Coast Redwoods. The 3,181-acre property in Mendocino County, including about 5 miles of coastline, was purchased from the Soper timber Company for $36.9 million. While over $19 million was raised rapidly in December 2021 to fund this acquisition, the League continues fundraising to pay for the purchase. Right now, a challenge grant from the Goodman Family Foundation will match new donations dollar-for-dollar up to $1 million through March 31, 2022.
