Without doubt one of the most talented producers in Australia right now is the artist known as Phetsta. This self-proclaimed ‘Guardian Condor Of Bass Music’ has been tearing it apart all over the place with constant domination of the Dubstep and Drum & Bass charts on Beatport, as well as gaining support from the likes of Skream, Benga, Zane Lowe, Mista Jam, and Andy C. In amoungst it all he’s also found time to mix the third installment of the now legendary ‘Dubstep Invasion’ series by Aussie superbrand One Love, as well as becoming the ‘go to’ guy for first class dubstep remixes not only in OZ, but the world over. Needless to say we are honored to have him on board for his first ever single here at Klub Kids! And what a way to kick it off!
‘Said & Done’ features the dope as can be vocal talents of Mad Decent – and fellow West Australian bred vocalist - Reija Lee. And she’s no slacker either! Reija Lee has been busy clocking up work with everyone from Spor to Feadz, Kito, ShockOne, Metrik, and Shazam on labels as diverse as Mad Decent, Ed Banger, and Modular. She’s also knocked up some serious radio love with Triple J in Australia, and Annie Mac, Zane Lowe, and Toddla T on Radio 1 in the UK all hammering her tunes. To cap it off the duo’s last chart-topping single ‘Run You Down’ was one of the most viewed songs on YouTube in the month it first aired by hitting over 1 million plays, as well as smashing the ‘Beatport Dubstep Top 10’ chart for over two months straight. Yeow!
But let’s get back to THIS tune! This melodic bass driven dubstep monster is not only a club beast, but also a song full of musicality and amazing hooks. Still only in it’s infancy it’s already managed to gain support from the likes of Skism, ShockOne, and Metrik. On the remix tip for this one comes Mind Electric with a main room stormer, Jam Xpress with a bubbling bassline beast, Doctor Werewolf with a fucking massive drumstep rework (seriously their best work yet we reckon), and label boss Kid Kenobi with a bouncey moombahton remix for some peak time grind.
Right, that’s us said and done.
