KLEG Kleg (1984-1996) was an art-rock ensemble from Groningen, the Netherlands, influenced by Glenn Branca, Rhys Chatham and Sonic Youth. Initial line-up: bass, drums, 8 guitars, 4 saxophones. Kleg recorded two albums: 'Eating and Sleeping' and 'Zing'. 'Eating and Sleeping' was a 50 minute sound collage or 'suite' in three parts. Zing had a more conventional rock-feel and was produced by Lee Ranaldo of Sonic Youth. Both albums are now no longer available. In 1994, four new tracks were recorded and mixed by Tom Holkenborg, aka JunkieXL, for a 10-inch EP that due to circumstances was never released.
