Djs From Mars
Claudio Fuentes, better known as Klaud, has been groomed for greatness in the world of electronic dance music. Not many 19-year old DJ’s can say that they’ve headlined their own full-length Malaysian tour, dropping hard progressive house tracks and spreading positive and humble vibes across the planet. It’s uncommon for emerging artists to have consistent performances in both New York and in Miami. There are very few producers at all who can claim to have performed with the best electronic talent the world has to offer, including Steve Angello (formerly of Swedish House Mafia), Sander van Doorn, and GTA. But Klaud can. And the impression he’s leaving on the genre is only just beginning.
Klaud developed his musical talent at an early age. His father, an internationally renowned vocalist, guided him through the basics of musical composition during his youth. He built his musical repertoire on piano, guitar, and drums, embracing the art and igniting his passion. By age 14, he had discovered his calling. He began producing tracks in full, determining that his path existed within the realm of EDM.
Klaud then spent some time traveling and spreading his work. He performed in both London and Ibiza in 2012. He gathered the attention of “A State Of Trance” and “Armada” regulars Filo & Peri, who extended their hands as mentors. It paid off: Klaud traveled to Miami to play a set at Ultra Music Festival 2013, taking the first step to achieving his dream.
Over the last year, Klaud has made large advancements in his career. He released his first “Oasis EP,” which is currently available on Beatport and iTunes, and his weekly radio show, “Progressive Area,” features the newest tracks in progressive house. He’s been supported by A-list artists including Thomas Gold, Matisse & Sadko, and Martin Garrix while his work has been downloaded by the likes of Tiesto, Afrojack and many more worldwide acclaimed electronic music superstars. He has been featured by numerous online EDM sources, including Ear Milk, EDMSauce, Crust Nation, and White Raver Rafting, to name a few. Most recently, he played alongside The Disco Fries and dBerrie, moving further and further into the spotlight.
Klaud’s future in the industry is certainly optimistic, especially with the support he’s received on his way up. His relevance will continue to increase with time, as his path to superstardom is only just beginning.
