Zespół kIRk wybudza się z chwilowego letargu i od razu przechodzi do rzeczy. „Za ostatni grosz” to tytuł najnowszego wydawnictwa kwartetu - siedmiocalowego winylowego singla z dwoma mocnymi utworami: „Za ostatni grosz”, inspirowanego piosenką o tym samym tytule z repertuaru Budki Suflera i równie nieoczywistego „Nie ma co silić się na naturalność”. To ledwie kwadrans muzyki, a zdaje się opowiadać całą, przeszło 15-letnią historię tej trudnej do zdefiniowania, międzystylowej załogi. Elektronika i akustyka, optymizm i melancholia, melodia i dysonans. kIRk uwodzi, ale nie narzuca się. Przynosi muzykę fabularną, choć bez słów. Jest w tym radość z grania i z bycia razem. Jest też gitara Wojtka Kwapisińskiego, która wiedzie kolektyw jeszcze dalej i głębiej.

Płyta ukaże się w czerwcu, a kwartet wyda ją własnym sumptem. To będzie kolejny rozdział długoletniej historii zespołu - pełnej zwrotów akcji i estetycznych wolt. Rozdział, którego pierwsze zdania wypowiedziane zostaną 14. czerwca w warszawskim klubie DZiK podczas premierowego koncertu singla i pierwszego publicznego odtworzenia teledysku do utworu „Za ostatni grosz”.

The kIRk band just woke up a form a brief yet quite a deep nap and goes straight to the point. “Za ostatni grosz” (eng. “For that last cent left”) is the title of their newest release - a 7” inch vinyl single consisting of two massive tracks - “Za ostatni grosz” which was inspired by the Polish pop rock hit from the 80s by the one and only Budka Suflera, and a similarly unobvious tune named “Nie ma co silić się na naturalność” (eng. “There is no point in trying to be natural”). The disc which last just a bit more than quarter of an hour seem to grasp the whole, almost 15 year long, history of this hard to define, eclectic crew. Electronics and acoustics, optimism and melancholia, melody and dissonance, all of those mix together in these two, carefully crafted tracks. kIRk seduces the listener but doesn’t impose anything upon him or her. It brings a narration told without any words. It brings the joy of playing and - just simply - being together. It comes assisted by Wojtek Kwapisiński on guitar, who leads the collective even further and deeper.

The single will be self-released by the band in the middle of June. It will become a succeeding chapter in the years long, adventurous history of the band. A chapter, which will commence on July 14th in Warsaw, in the club named DZiK, where the band will premiere their new material and screen the video, made to the “Za ostatni grosz” track.
