Killumbia THIS IS THE REAL & ONLY OFFICIAL PAGE FOR KILLUMBIA! KILLUMBIA is an anthem song & brand of South Carolina Hip-Hop Recording artist Devin Patrick. The single/song stars himself with many of the city's biggest accomplished names of the decade. The planning of the song begin in late 2010 when Devin Patrick was signed to leading SC label Head Hunter Records. At that time it only had the confirmed appearances of Mr. Flip, Lil' Brod, & his singer Venice. Later it was reported he was in the studio with BET UNCUT Pimp of the City rapper Natalac and Met G, who would join the roster. Around December at the SC Music Awards DEF JAM's Lil' Ru relinked with his former label Head Hunter and began recording his mixtape. DJ 9 Million CEO of Head Hunter brought the project to Devin Patrick where they began to record at his studio. This shifted his focus from the to Lil' Ru. Sadly the song was abandoned for quit some time. After a few incidents he decided to part ways and left Head Hunter Records on good terms. It wasn't till former Head Hunter R&B artist Freddie L aka Luga heard a rough studio mix of the incomplete KILLUMBIA anthem where he persuaded Devin Patrick to finish up the record. He then contacted SC Legend Davyne, who had retired from hip-hop to do gospel rap, to reprise his image on the track. After the confirmation of Davyne the also contacted Lele aka Badbad, one of SC's hottest female rappers to feature on the track. After the comfirmation of both artists he decided to go a whole new route with the song and removed Natalac & MET G for possible remix placement. His singer Venice was also removed. Collard Green was to finish up the project but because of timing complications the project looked to remain incomplete. Devin once again got a hold of his old manager 9 Million and Lil Ru to acquire his old label mate & Def Jam signee. But was unsuccessful in establishing in a decent timeframe. With little to no options at the time he was struct with the idea to add an established Hip-Hop artist to the roster of successful commercial rappers. Devin Patrick reached out to old friend Gemstar Da Goldenchild, who agreed. Shortly they were in the studio laying down the final verse tracks. Long term school friend Quaress had contacted him about recording after a day long studio session they finalized the song with Quaress reprising the original chorus in a more aggressive tone. With chanting backdrops The original work was recorded, mastered, & mixed by Devin Patrick at his STUDIO X Recording Studio. Then remastered & mixed at The Jam Room Recording Studio in Columbia SC. By Steve Slavich the same engineer from Lil' Ru hits Don't I Look Good (Capitol) & The Nasty Song (Def Jam). The song has since been downloaded over 1000 times and appeared on my DJ Mixtapes across the Columbia area. Radio stations in Columbia even Charleston, SC have the song in rotation.
