KeyStone is a part-time professional six-voice contemporary a cappella group based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Founded in 2011, KeyStone strives to present innovative, original arrangements of pop and rock music both familiar and obscure. The six members of KeyStone have over 100 collective years of experience in vocal and theatrical performance. KeyStone is a proud member of the Contemporary A Cappella League, sponsored by theContemporary A Cappella Society of America.
In 2012, KeyStone competed in the Harmony Sweepstakes Mid-Atlantic Regionals at The Birchmere in Alexandria, VA, and was selected to perform in the CAL Showcase Concert at the VoCALnation a cappella festival in Washington, DC. The next year, KeyStone hosted VoCALnation in Philadelphia, sang at the Princeton Music Festival and the WHYY Connections Festival, assisted in a flash-mob wedding proposal (she said yes!), opened for Grammy-nominated super-group The Bobs, headlined at the Hard Rock Café, Philadelphia, and performed in a holiday show at World Cafe Live at the Queen. So far in 2014, KeyStone has opened for a cappella legends The Groovebarbers, featuring Sean Altman, Steve Keyes, and Charlie Evett of Rockapella, headlined SpringSing 2014, a festival of the American A Cappella Alliance, and performed for a sold-out crowd of 500 at the first A Cappella Showcase at the Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts.
