Hello, I am Kermit...the human, that is. I'm simply channeling the music from inside my head into your ears. I'm an artist; I create artwork ranging from paintings, to poetry, to websites, and of course, music. My emotions are directly connected to music, so I'm on an endless search for songs and sounds that I can utilize to keep a smile on my face. I then use my happiness to make others smile, laugh, learn, think, and create...which in turn, leads us all to feeling pure, unconditional bliss. Since I was 10 years old I have been playing the trumpet. This eventually led to learning to play the baritone, the tuba, the trombone, and the french horn. By the time I graduated high school, I knew at least a little bit of most conventional instruments, aside from the harp. However, at 12 years old I began playing the guitar...which became my dominant instrument. Since I began playing, I've written 540 songs on the guitar/vox that I've also written the lyrics for, as well as any other instrumentation. Since the majority of my music is experimental, I've also always loved incorporating sounds/fx/instrumentation that is done digitally...and with my love for electronic music (since 1998), I use a lot of resources that computers have given me. So at this point, I basically delve into every realm of music (aside from country, jazz, and a few others), and change genre's quite frequently. Though I'm not sure that this is a good strategy for becoming a "popular-musician", I am sure that it is a good strategy for representing myself and my personality, and channeling it into your brain, via my music / your ears. So for now, that is all I'm focused on...and hopefully you'll resonate with my songs, and they will help you to feel/think/learn/move the way you'd like to...even if only for the length of the song.
Any and all feedback/suggestions are greatly appreciated and encouraged, so don't be shy! Also, I love meeting anyone and everyone who takes the time to listen to my musical-journal, if you will...so hit me up on facebook.com/kermitk, or shoot me a message! I also love returning the exposure I receive, so feel free to message me the link to your profile/music, and I'll like/share/repost/etc anything that I personally enjoy :]
