Wonderful imagery, good use of senses. Metaphors are supposed to be a no-no as the writing rules go but for me I love them and use them. Your internal monologue picks up the pace and gives me the feeling that I am in the 'now'. The story line, so far, for me, is realistic. Needs just a touch of action, conflioct. All in all I believe this is a winner after tweakiing. That's the part I hate to do. LOL Looking forward to Chapter two. Sylvia 2012-05-19T22:13:17Z Comment by MaryEaton52 Very nice Ken. Are you reading this yourself? 2012-05-18T14:57:40Z Comment by Salvatore Buttaci Ken, I agree with Oren: a very poetic introduction to your upcoming new book! I must say the writing is mesmerizing. I am sure the book will be too difficult to put down. 2012-05-17T12:43:30Z Comment by COUSINSOREN This beginning of the novel sounds like narrative poetry. I don't particularly like the fatal theme , but Ken Weene's superb mastery of words, rhythm and suspense in this first chapter of the novel is exciting. 2012-05-17T09:09:26Z
