My main job and focus is graphical arts and illustration, I'm not pro Dj I like to introduce myself as a record collector ... I respect producers and dj's so lets not forget the value of a dj where yes track selection is important, but mixing (might i add great mixing) is an art by itself that should not be underestimated and should also be as equally respected as the job of a music producer. Both combining their skills, it gives truly magnificent spectacles.
I learned to love music when i was baby my love for music came from my father who was a musician himself. I have studied percussion instruments, andvanced theory & composition, old music mandatory theory & other special classes at Filippos Nakas Conservatory and then Music History Degree Programs at Boston University.
My biggest love is the old - school underground music ... and the story starts like this :
In 1995 on an ordinary Saturday night I happened upon this kind of music that I'd never heard before on the local Urban radio station. I was 10 years old. This music was so different, but so intriguing at the same time. I kept listening to the beats, the basslines, and most of all the melodies. The more I listened to this new music the more I became engrossed. It wasn't too long before I was hooked, and on that night, there was no turning back. I was a Househead.
I became a slave to house music, insisting on listening to and taping house on the radio each and every Saturday night no matter what and starting collecting records by own. To this day, I still own a massive cassette & vinyl record collection from back then.I've been into this music over half the time I've been alive, and when I go I hope there's a turntable and crates full of house wax on the other side.
