Passepieds 1,2, Suite from Les Fetes d'Hebe, Jean-Phillip Rameau by Katherine Shao published on 2012/01/17 02:44:50 +0000 This is a couple of passepieds from the suite. Very French, very aligned to the dance form. These are samples of pieces from the Baroque period - England and France - featuring me and some of the great players I've performed with. These dances were adapted from orchestra parts to be playable in this rendering (baroque flutes, oboe, violin, cello, bass, harpsichord and archlute) and feature Gonzalo Ruiz, oboe; Stephen Schultz, flute & piccolo; Bryon Rakitzis, flute & piccolo; Elizabeth Blumenstock, violin; Paul Hale, cello; Kristin Zoernig, bass; Katherine Shao, harpsichord; Michael Eagan, archlute. We did this live recording back in 2002, so I may be forgetting some of the people who participated.
