It was created as part of Data Canvas: Sense Your City - a network of sensors to promote public education around civic issues. The network of DIY environmental sensors spread across 7 cities and 3 continents empowers citizens with real-time information about their surroundings. This sonic composition reflects the continuously evolving data consisting of temperature, light, pollution, humidity, dust and noise measurements. Each category of data corresponds to as well as controls specific sounds and parameters. The resulting composition evolves as the data levels decrease and increase.
