Karlahan Karlahan Official Barcelona Karlahan is a Symphonic Progressive Death Metal band from Barcelona, formed in late 2006. They recorded their first demo song called ‘Twilight’ in 2007. The band started playing gigs in various local venues in Barcelona and surroundings. In 2008 the band travelled to Helion Studios (Munich, Germany) to take part in Equilibrium's Sagas recordings, and afterwards they were invited as special guests to the german Helion Festival the same year. There they played with Equilibrium, Helfahrt, Sycronomica, Dark Seed and Varg. In 2009 the band finally recorded their first EP, A Portrait Of Life, defining their style: Symphonic-Melodic driven Death Metal with Folk elements. Scott McLean (Falloch) took part in the process by composing and arranging some parts, and he also produced the EP by mixing and mastering it. The album had a very good acceptance in the international background and received lots of great ratings and reviews both nationally and internationally. After many changes in the band's lineup and style, they released their first studio videoclip and single ‘Skyline’ and played at the Slovenian festival Metaldays the same year. Currently, Karlahan recorded Exile - their first LP - at The Room BCN studios. Mix and mastering will be done by Dan Swanö at Unisound Studios (Örebro, Sweden), and it will count with the special collaboration of Scott McLean, Nuria ‘Lady Nott’ Lluis (Der Blaue Reiter, Narsilion, Arcana) and the vocal choir El Cor de la Vall from Barcelona.
