Kapi One

Kapi is a multi-disciplinary artist and he has been a hip-hop consumer forever.
Called by music he became a b-bpy (break dancer) in 1984, a Barcelona pioneer graffiti writer in ’86 and a MC & music producer since 1988. In the 90’s he started DJing and became a profesional in this area already in the XXI century.

He played a rol in some of the key moments on the development of the Spanish hip-hop culture, with artistic inputs and as a cultural agitator, organizing events, spreading information and creating specialized industry. This activities positioned him as one of the architects of this movement in Barcelona and Spain.

Today he remains active as a graffiti writer/artist, as an audiovisual creator and as a DJ, discipline where he’s managing different musical genres (funk, disco, hip-hop, Electro-Funk). He also works as a stage DJ for several groups and artists.

But after all, Kapi is a as a music producer and a beatmaker. He works with genres like hip-hop and urban music as well as funk, breaks and electro. He is also shaping songs for diverse soundtrack styles.
