I sat down with Lori Pitts, founding director of Voices Unbarred, to learn more about the organization and the work they've been doing. Voices Unbarred is a non-profit that uses theatre of the oppressed techniques in prisons to create scripts and performances that returned citizens, or formerly incarcerated people, work on and perform out in the community. She's giving voices that typically go unheard a platform.
