“Faust’s dexterity with the modern disco sound makes him one of the genre’s leading voices. He proves that making crowds dance is not just his job, but a life goal.”
Justin Faust has quickly emerged at the vanguard of Europe’s nu-disco-electro-dance sound which has taken over dancefloors and DJ charts during the past years.
Based in Munich but integral member of Portugal’s DISCOTEXAS label (with Moullinex, Xinobi, and others), the Faust has built upon early collaboration with the influential Valerie (FR) crew. Since churning out six EPs, the latest “Disco Cuts” for New Yorks legendary Nurvous Records appearing at the top of Beatport’s Indie Dance charts.
Success has radiated elsewhere too: his 2nd EP “Holdin On” appeared on BBC1’s Annie Mac radio show, while his remixes and originals are staples on the Hypem popular chart and high-profile blogs -
not to mention his Soundcloud channel which gets thousands of listens per day.
With his debut album “Spellbound” Justin Faust produced an LP that shows how he creates his
musical vision - from very club-friendly tracks like "Girl Talk" to Nu Disco excursions like "Spellbound".
The album also includes the hit single "Space Rhumba" and a completely new version of his classic tune "High Hopes". On "Na Sowas", Justin collaborated with guitar legend Mats Bjorklund, who has recorded with the likes of Boney M. and Giorgio Moroder.
All this attention has kept Faust’s live appearance schedule on overdrive, where he’s known for energizing floors with eminently synth-based and danceable electro-disco. He has headlined parties throughout Europe, the US, South America, and Asia, playing alongside the likes of The Avener, DANGER, Louis La Roche, Moullinex, Xinobi, kap10kurt, Telonius, Mercury and many others.
Those somehow still uninitiated with his sound should listen to popular remix efforts for Childish Gambino, Treasure Fingers, Goldroom, Picture Book, and Fabian, not to be outdone by classic
earlier reworks of Florrie, Fare Soldi, Missy Elliot and Daft Punk.
