JuanBlanco Juan Blanco Neuchâtel Started in January 2010, the name Juan Blanco first appeared as Lionel Nemeth's stage name. Singer, guitarist, lyricist and songwriter, his aim was initially to perform his songs as a solo act, under a name chosen for his love of the hispanic world. Very quickly however, he decided to expand the Juan Blanco universe by adding other musicians to the project, namely inviting in 2010 Jérémie Magnin on bass and Fantin Moreno on drums, while Timothée Huguenin joined in with his trumpet in 2011. The band thus formed allows Juan Blanco to present their own style of folk music, dark and intense, aimed at creating an atmosphere and a mood that fluctuates between rock influences and softer tunes. With a particular attention to detail, Juan Blanco's music delicately supports the singer's deep and tortured texts, expressing poetically – and in French – themes such as travel and human exchange, with the frequent use of catchy aerial vocal harmonies.
