JTKoskinen Juha T. Koskinen Berlin Juha T. Koskinen (* 1972) is a Finnish composer working internationally with ensembles, soloists and opera companies. He composed music for La Chambre aux Echos, Ensemble Recherche, Quatuor Diotima, Nomad Ensemble, Ensemble Court-Circuit, Ensemble Cairn, the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra, and numerous international soloists. His music theatre projects include the chamber opera Madame de Sade in 2010 and the monologue opera Lusia Rusintytär at Helsinki Festival in 2015. His studies at IRCAM in Paris led Koskinen to electroacoustic music and sound installations, like his collaboration with the light artist Jukka Korpihete for public space. Amongst numerous grants and worldwide residencies, he was awarded the Takefu International Composition Award (Japan). Koskinen studied composition in Finland (with Kaija Saariaho, Kalevi Aho and Paavo Heininen at Sibelius Academy, Helsinki) and France (CNSMD de Lyon with Gilbert Amy, Philippe Manoury and Philippe Schoeller and at Académie européenne de Musique, Aix-en-Provence). His own teaching activities include a visiting professorship of composition at Aichi University of the Arts in Japan 2016.
