Joyce Rooks Joyce Rooks Southern California Artist/Musician, Musician/Artist I've been playing, recording, touring and making music of all kinds for most of my life. I began playing the cello at age 12 studying classical music. I later learned to play guitar which lent itself to playing in an all girl punk band, reggae/ska bands and others. Most of the songs here were recorded between 2004-2014 on my home (laptop) studio. I love having a vast palette of sounds and beats to work with and being able to add acoustic instruments, vocals and other sounds. My influences are very eclectic.
