Second, I spent my entire career as a defense contractor building high assurance systems that were developed in compliance with stringent NIST security controls, processes and standards. The software was subsequently independently tested from both functional and security perspectives to include penetration testing by NSA. The ability to record and preserve system and user level audits were key requirements.
