Jordi Castillo was born in Madrid in the mythical 80's, a decade that influenced Jordi's live from the very beginning, making him develop a high interest and unconditional love for music.
With only 6 years he began to play piano and to study music classics, growing as an artist since very young.
With the arrival of the 90's, and being only 12 years old, Jordi bought his firsts decks and he felt strongly attracted by the electronic rhythms and sounds that made this decade "the golden decade of the electronic music", and that, from then, have influenced his professional career. His restless spirit pushed him into entering different areas of music experimenting and researching in different styles.
Later on he obtained an audio engineering degree in the well known MK3 school in Barcelona, a fact that made his work become more technical, and got Jordi into looking for perfection in his production.
Nowadays, Jordi is creating his own sounds between tech-house and lately the new Deep. His compositions are full of contrasts, using from the more traditional sounds to classical, ethnic and even exotic instruments. These sounds are influenced by artists such as Tube & Berger, Joris Voorn, Wehbba, Technasia, Luigi Rocca, Pirupa, Umek...
Recognized as one of the best young talents that have appeared recently in the electronic music scene, he has already developed an intense career as a producer, regardless of his youth. He has been supported as an artist and producer by some of the most famous Dj's and producers such as, Umek, Luciano, Marco Carola, Erik Morillo, David Jones, Paco Osuna and John Acquaviva, among others.
As a DJ he has performed in the most relevant electronic music clubs in Spain such as Elrow, Florida 135, City Hall,…. He has shared stage with some of the best worldwide recognized artists such as Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin, Umek, Cristian Varela, Marco Bailey, Ken Ishii among others.
The fact of currently enjoying two residencies in City Hall (Barcelona) with Happy Techno Music, and Cool (La Rioja) with Fade Up Music, is a reflex of the fact that he’s a clear uprising light in the spanish scene.
His tracks are positioned in some of the greatest labels of the worldwide scene: Toolroom, 1605, Stereo and definitive among others.
Among his most successful tracks you can find "Re-Funk", published on one of his labels "1st Rate Music", which reached a high position during several weeks in the top100 sales charts in Beatport. Also “Cosas Cambian” published in Definitive recordings with John Acquaviva, Olivier Giacomotto and Paulo Tella wich has been recently in the Tech-House Top100 list of Beatport during several weeks as well.
Jordi is currently focused on his two brands, parties and labels, "Fade Up Music" and "Happy Techno Music".
Jordi’s future is full of projects, hard work and big expectations and he is full of motivation and love for music.
