JonMichalik Jonathan Michalik I'm a programmer, game design enthusiast, musician, and gamer. While I mainly dabble in the first 2 categories listed, I get around to composing a couple pieces every year in an effort to...well...keep composing. And of course having fun doing it :). I hold a Bachelor's degree from Western Illinois University in Music Composition and invested heavily in percussion studies. I studied composition with Dr. James Caldwell, a pioneer in interactive electronic music performance, and Dr. Paul Paccione, a true master of musical counterpoint. I also studied percussive arts with Dr. Kevin Nichols and Dr. Rick Kurasz. I still keep busy performing in the musical field with the Moraine Valley Community College Percussion Ensemble, led by good friend and all-around percussion aficionado Doug Bratt. A number of my compositions and arrangements are played by the ensemble.
