J.O.H.N

Pascal John, aka J.O.H.N, born on 05.08.1986 in Switzerland, was soon interested in electronic music. In 1999, he got to know the clubs and the techno scene in and around Basel and got more and more the desire to animate the party people themselves to dance and become a part of this techno movement. Early on a regular rehearsal evening with his friends took place in his cellar at home, at which John could prove himself to the critical ears of his closest at first. A little later, the first gigs came on smaller events inside as well as outdoors. His flexible way of doing his job quickly took him to the next level. With bookings by Absolute Techno, the Tension Nightsession, the Hans Bunte Areal, the ÜG Bülach, the Aunt Pinte and the Kaschemme John has established himself in Basel.

Today, John Mad is a resident DJ in the Aunt Pinte an important part of the team.

German: Pascal John alias John Mad, geboren am 05.08.1986 in der Schweiz, fand früh das Interesse an der Elektronischen Musik. Im Jahre 1999 lernte er die Clubs und die Techno Szene in und um Basel richtig kennen und bekam so immer mehr den Wunsch die Feierwütigen selber zum Tanzen zu animieren und ein Teil dieser Techno Bewegung zu werden. Früh fanden mit seinen Freunden regelmässige Probeabende in seinem Keller zu Hause statt, an welchen John sich vor den kritischen Ohren seiner Engsten anfangs beweisen konnte. Etwas später kamen die ersten Gigs an kleineren Veranstaltungen innen wie auch an Outdoors. Seine flexible Art, seine Aufrtitte zu gestalten, brachte ihn schnell auf ein nächstes Level. Mit Bookings von Absolute Techno, Nordstern der Tension Nightsession, dem Hans Bunte Areal, dem ÜG Bülach, der Tante Pinte und der Kaschemme hat sich John in Basel etablieren können.

Heute ist j.o.h.n im Stahlwerk zu hause. und ist als Resident DJ in der Tante Pinte ein wichtiger Bestandteil des Teams.
