Way back in August 2010, I decided to set myself a challenge/exercise, to try and construct a "Dance" tune using only the Samples and Loops kindly provided by Apple for use with Garage Band and Logic 9.
After spending a few hours listening to hundreds of different Audio Files, I managed to select approximately 50 or so that I thought may be appropriate.
A few hours later and with the basic rhythm track constructed, I decided to record a Bass guitar part. In the key of G major.
For the next few days I struggled to try and get the additional loops and samples to fit, and eventually, (somewhat disappointingly) decided to abandon the idea.
Jump forward to January 2011, I wake up one morning with the idea to revisit the track and to try and salvage the good bits to create an edited version......and then it hit me....
All of the troublesome loops and samples were in the key of C major.
One newly recorded Bass guitar part later and we're off.....
Featuring a selection of Apple Loops and Samples including, Latin Fire Percussion, Blues Harmonica, Old School Beat Boxing, Funky Electric Guitar, Cuban Timba Vocals, Bollywood Vocals, Various Claves, Shakers, Cabassas and Maracas, Jazz Hustle Saxophone, Latin Danza Horns, NuJazz Ladybug Flute, Southern Banjo, Brazilian Cuica, House Fever Burning Sax, Cuban Fun Trombone, Remix Crazy Scratch FX and a Southern Basic Drumset.
And not forgetting the Bass Guitar Part in C.
Arranged, Manipulated and Constructed in August 2010, Re-Arranged, Manipulated and Mixed in January 2011.
A Twitchy little number.....
