Global producer, songwriter, technologist and DJ John Arth transforms memories into full-blown soundscapes, shaping melodies, harmonies and rhythms into kinetic songs super-charged with human emotions.
His proficiency as a multi-instrumentalist, passion for bending genres and
meticulous production style gives him the ability to reimagine individual
instruments’ voices into a seamless, choral blend of memorable musical phrases that tell absorbing stories. His knack for freshening up textures of electronica, dance, trance and house, fine-tuned technical skills and trademark incorporation of custom-made synth and keyboard sounds shine through in his audience-grabbing live sets and make his recorded mixes and critically-acclaimed collaborations with other artists shine. John Arth’s ability to combine adventurous vocal layers with unforgettable hooks draws inspiration from the work of legendary tech wizards, producers and performers such as Ferry Corsten, Paul Van Dyke, Armin Van Buuren and his own mentor Mats Lindfors.
Born Tobias Jonnarth in Sweden, John Arth experimented with the host of pianos, guitars, upright basses and woodwinds in his childhood home. After developing his talent on piano, guitar and bass, he became enraptured by synths, sequencers and the technical intricacies of production. At age 14, he bought his first sampler, an AKAI 2000 and taught himself how sample vocals and other sounds and craft full-blown songs, forming a house/trance band with a friend and fellow young artist that gave him the opportunity to further refine his craft with a professional producer and technician in ABBA’s first recording studio, Glenstudio (Stockhouse Records), where he absorbed everything he could about recording tools and the production process.
John Arth has collected an impressive résumé of accomplishments during his time in the music industry, joining forces with a variety of talented musicians and
artists, including Swedish mastering engineer Mats Lindfors, Basic Element among others. He also produced punk group Shebang’s album So Come On, which hit #1 on the Swedish charts. John Arth’s newest single “Rain” is a remix concocted with singer David Seidel. He is currently in the studio writing new music. “Rain” is available NOW.
