He made the theme music to Battlefied 1942, was half of The Similou with Erik Niklasson and released records as Jol. In 2000, Erikssson made the music for the acclaimed EA game, Battlefield 1942. The theme song is an iconic piece of music, ever-present in the sequels. The song has been covered by orchestras and fans worldwide. Eriksson has made music for films and TV. In 2006, he scored the music for the 7 miljonärer film. In parallel, Joel Eriksson started the Gonkyburg movement with Quant. As Jol, he released groovy music for Dot and April Records. Joel met Erik Niklasson from Plej and they set their sights on stardom as The Similou. In 2004, the duo had a pop hit with All This Love. Eriksson co-wrote hit songs for Japanese boy band Arashi.
