Well, we said "drone", so I went straight to Spectral Dronemaker. Now I needed something to feed it, so I created a lazy electric piano line with alternating suspended and major chords, recorded that, fed that to Dronemaker, then listened. Needed a little something else, so I added a sustained organ note for a nod to Glass, listened some more, then added one more slightly irregular ostinato atop that. Adjusted track volumes and set curves, and I had my track.
