This is a proof-of-concept... very simple and raw. 16 notes :: the rate that each note occurs varies according to the pitch. Listen to the first few measures and you will hear what's going on. After several minutes, you are rewarded with some cheesy MIDI drum beats!
Someone please tell me how many minutes it will take for this to play out all the way, one time around the whole cycle. All you have to do is find the least common denominator of all the integers between 16 and 31 (inclusive)... then divide that by 4, and divide again by 96 (the BPM). You can post your answer in the comments :-)
Anyway, this is the first 15 minutes.
