Ritmeloxa by Jochen Eisentraut published on 2014-10-05T19:11:43Z Collaboration between Jochen Eisentraut on soprano saxophone and Bira Santos on drums. Bira is a master drummer (alabe) of the Afro-Brazilian Candomble religion, and has performed with many of the stars of Bahian music. Jochen is a musician and composer from Wales who is exploring modes and improvisatory relationships between rhythm and melody in this project. Most of the rhythms used are derived from Candomble, whereas the modes and tunes also draw on other cultures. The majority are specially composed for this project.
