Joanna Borrett

Joanna Borrett is a composer and cellist. She made her debut at the Wigmore Hall where the Daily Telegraph commented on her "bright, impetuous personality" and "ardently responsive style". Joanna was principal cellist of The Scottish Baroque Ensemble before founding and directing Peterborough String Orchestra - noted in The Guardian as having " the real emotional stuff of music making."
Joanna started composing recently and is a now a house composer at Kevin Mayhew Publishers. Folk and Beyond is her first cello and piano album and has received excellent reviews. Her music has also been published by U.M.P. and SJ Music.
Joanna's second cello and piano collection - Clan - will be published in March 2023 and has been arranged for string orchestra.
