The Importance of Inclusive Dance for People With Disabilities by Greta Baier by jnelson published on 2022-03-21T00:19:55Z In "The Importance of Inclusive Dance for People with Disabilities," you will learn about the common misconceptions of what dance can and should be, and the large impact that inclusive dance has on both the dancers and directors associated with these companies. You will hear from three directors, one who founded and directs Born Dancing, and two who co-founded and co-direct the Dream Project at the National Dance Institute. You will also hear from Avery and Jillian, one who currently dances with these two companies and one who danced with the Dream Project in the past. Lastly, you will be hearing from Greta Baier, who created the podcast. Greta is a dancer that, like Avery, has a disability and dances with these two companies. She has a congenital muscular disorder that requires her to use a wheelchair, a trache, and a ventilator, but regardless of this, she is still able to enjoy dance and perform beautiful choreography.
