Jim Beckwith Music

Jim Beckwith is a singer with a unique and compelling voice; a soulful texture that draws on influences from jazz and pop to R&B and voices from around the world. His voice has been called 'a male Sade' and Placido Domingo, Jr. called it something "like a refined Sting". Even so, he shows up with a voice all his own, and lyrics that make you think and feel. As a solo performance he'll usually do finger-style acoustic guitar, but don't be surprised if he pulls out a drum or bass to sing along with. Beckwith has players on his CD that have worked with major artists like Sting, Stevie Wonder, James Taylor, Rickie Lee Jones and Taj Mahal.
