Space Cadet Jessica Shepherd London As of the beginning of 2016, I'm the Event Manager & booker for Progressive Astronaut, a promoter of progressive house events in London. I'm also the Organiser for 2 groups at meetup.com called the London Techno House & Psychedelic Clubbing meet up and the Amsterdam Dance Event meet up. They're groups that were started in order to bring people who are into electronic music together for nights out - these people don't know each other at first, but it's a way of meeting new friends. There are nearly 3000 members in the London one currently and about 500 in the Amsterdam one currently, our diary is pretty full. The Twitter feed can be found at @ConclaveOfRave Whilst this Soundcloud profile is not intended to represent the styles of music that the groups listen to, it does list some of the music that I love, along with Renaissance choral music from the 17th century, Japanese Taiko drumming, English Irish & Scottish folk music, quite a few eras of jazz and classical, which I never seem to find on Soundcloud. I've been into dance music since I was a child, I remember hearing Robotronik by Kraftwerk in the late '80s on the radio and from then on, I was sold - I was maybe 10 years old then. I used to go to hardcore rave events in Birmingham and Wolverhampton, most usually Pandemonium at Mr B's in Wolverhampton and the Digbeth Institute in Birmingham. I also used to attend a few free parties as well when I was a teenager, in fields and in barns in the Shropshire Hills where my parents live, these were organised by the Splat and BCPU sound systems. I'm going to turn 40 in 2016, but I'm not so worried about this, because Sven is 50 and Sasha is 45 and they're still raving.
