Originally from Australia, she studied songwriting in Sydney for 3 years before making the move to London. Jess Ellen has written songs that were picked up by the Spotify Global Viral Top 50 New Music Friday UK playlist, and songs that were a part of the Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony. One songwriting collaboration, "Wolves" was picked up and featured on US TV series Backstrom. She has composition credits on over 40 songs and 12 albums and EP’s. She also has production and composition credits for several commercial clients including Carnival Cruises and Collaborateur branding agency. She has produced for independent UK based artist Lucy Mason, Australian artist Muki, London based artist Ylissa and Hertfordshire born singer songwriter Cameron Jones. Her production skills have shaped the sound of over 10 independently released albums including the latest release from Lucy Mason: Flashback Romance, which garnered critical acclaim including the following praise from The Independent Review: “Haunting vocals and clear, brilliantly produced pop.” She is an accomplished keyboardist and vocalist and has performed on BBC London live, and at several Royal events, including The Queen’s Young Leaders Dinner and at prestigious venues such as The Ned and Australia House.
