Thanks for dropping by. Since early Jan 2014, been unable to play due to recurrent injuries to both hands, that initially happened late 2013. At long last my hands feel pretty much recurperated (October 2014), but I'm rusty on technique front now. Few weeks playing should get me back in shape.
If it grooves, I play it (dance, rock, metal, jazz, funk). Developed a style that blends ideas from Jazz bebop era onwards with hard rock, metal, with modern approaches to the rhythm. Now several months in, I've made several friends here and worked on several collaborations. I value everyone's comments. Big thanks to all of you. Please suggest any improvements or changes you can hear ... I've worked with enough critical producers ... so no offence will be taken! Here's some background.
As a kid, swapped a rusty old push bike for a beaten up acoustic guitar, and have had music in the blood ever since. Been fortunate enough to play and record with some great musicians, who've taught me a lot. Marc Storace (Krokus) sang with me for some months ... what a voice ... asked me to join Krokus for Euopean tour, but I couldn't. My dear friend Vic Martin has played on keys with some of the biggest names on the planet, and sprinkled Magic Dust and ear candy on many of their albums. He first inspired me to even think about learning harmony. He and I had a two week holiday in Malta to do a 1 hour set on the beach for 14000 people at an Arts festival. Cisk beers spring to mind.
So, been a Pro-guitarist for awhile, but family changed that. Eventually decided to properly study music, met Shaun Baxter (who was Head of Rock and Jazz) at the Guitar Institute in London, and studied, ate, drank and talked music with him for many years. I (occasionally) teach guitar and music. Now I mainly compose, record, and music is my enjoyment and relaxation. Absolutely hate musical score as a way of teaching music concepts ... music should be made easy for everyone! Busy on a concept to try and fix that! (See bottom of description)
Time allowing, Vic and I will be putting together an album now he's finished working with Gary Moore. At least I understand what he's talking about now, harmony-wise :-)
