Jen Stratosphere Fanzine

I write reviews, interview artists, and submit news for music sites The Big Takeover, Rebel Noise. Adequacy.net, Stereo Embers Magazine, The Record Stache, Label Obscura, and Indie Music Review. I also supply feedback to music creators about their songs at Fluence.io. I am an established writer and have written hundreds of music reviews and produced hundreds of fun and informative artist interviews over the years. A sampling of performers I've interviewed: Anton Newcombe, Kristin Hersh, Mark Kozelek, Kathleen Hanna, Steve Kilbey of The Church, Mark Gardener of RIde, Dean Garcia of Curve and SPC ECO, Inger Lorre, Saint Etienne, Keren Ann, Deafheaven, The Twilight Sad, Alcest, Does It Offend You, Yeah?, mr. Gnome, Lush, KatieJane Garside, Cranes, Blood Red Shoes, and even actor (and sometimes musician) Thomas Jane. I began my music career in the early 1990s by putting out a music-related paper fanzine titled Stratosphere which is now in online form at my Stratosphere Fanzine Yahoo Group. In 2007 I became a contributing writer for Adequacy.net. In addition to the music sites listed above, I have contributed to Tasty Fanzine, The Spill Magazine, Gigslutz, and the now-defunct Junk Media.
