Q Cuts is EVERYWHERE In Phoenix! by Jeffrey T. Mason published on 2012/03/07 14:40:20 +0000 There have been quite a few JAM packages used by more than one station in a market over a period of time. On rare occasion, you'll even hear different cuts from the same package simultaneously on two stations. In this case, the package is JAM's Q Cuts. KMLE Country 108/Phoenix bought most of the package in 1991. KOOL 94.5, also in Phoenix, bought the very same package 6 years later in 1997. These are 2 different formats, with KMLE playing country and KOOL playing oldies. What's interesting is that both stations are now owned by CBS Radio and live just across the hall from each other. As far as I know, the third station in the cluster, KZON (or any of it's previous call letters/formats) never bought Q Cuts. But, wouldn't it be funny if they had. Here's a side by side montage of KMLE and KOOL's identical cuts.
