Jared Davison Jared Davison Kitchener Jared Davison is a Canadian electroacoustic composer known for exhaustively exploiting limited sound sources (such as insects) in the creation of his works. Drawing inspiration from concepts like Mircea Eliade's "Ganz Andere," Michael Persinger's "Sensed Presence" and J. Allan Cheyne's "Ominous Numinous," Jared attempts to express a sense of unnerving otherness through his sound art and photography. His work has been showcased internationally by Vox Novus and the 60x60 project, can be heard on Framework Radio broadcasts, and has been released by Mutant Music, The Ceiling, and more. Under the recommendation of Peter Hatch, Jared studied composition with Cam McKittrick in Waterloo at Wilfrid Laurier University, but has mostly learned his craft by turning musical instruments upside down and inside out.
