Jad Atoui Beirut Jad Atoui is a sound artist and improviser based in Beirut. Using his bio-sensors, field recordings and analog gears he composes and performs electronic and electro-acoustic music. His work has been featured in Pompidou Center (2012, Paris) , The Stone (2018, NYC), CTM festival (2021). Jad Atoui has worked and performed with musicians like John Zorn, Laurie Anderson, Marc Ribot, Sharif Sehnaoui, Pauline Oliveros, Anthony Sahyoun (as NP) and Chuck Bettis. In 2015 he spearheaded the “Biosonics” project in collaboration with scientist Ivan Marazzi in order to incorporate bio-sonification of behaviors as compositional tool.
