"It's all about the music" says izi.e "I believe that music has the power to change and inspire people". Izi.e (born ismail weirah) started his career as a Dj in 2003 at the age of 19 years old back in Hyderabad- India playing urban music from R&B to Rap and Hip Hop at 99 Megahertz Pub. His musical interest soon changed from urban music to electronic dance music after hearing tracks for the likes of the legendary Paul Oakenfold, Airwave and Paul van dyke and BT. After hearing the anthem ‘Energy 52 – Cafe del Mar’ and Tiesto's 'Honey' he knew he would be a dance music Dj from then on.
He fall in love with trance immediately and started to search and learn about that music, soon after he started to explore other genres as well from house to psychedelic.
In 2004 izi's eclectic and varied DJ style drew huge attention from clubbers as well as promoters. As a result, he gained a solid reputation and rocked clubs like sparks, Touch, Under Deck, Liquids, Dublin , Bottles And Chimney, Escape, 99 Megahertz, Hard rock and T.I, all received a taste of izi’s choice of music and mixing abilities.
2005 was the highlight of his career as a Dj where he played for a cowed of 10.000 people at one of the biggest parties in southern India the 2005 Nye "party till sun rise" along side top Djs in India which was his last performance in that part of the world.
In mid 2005 he returned to Saudi Arabia and focused more on underground music and started the Riyadh UnderGround Clubbers movement with a series of gigs and parties to promote the new sounds of the underground music world which was not popular in that region. In 2008 he joined forces with other Djs with the same passion and love for electronic music in the region and came out with a new concept called "E Sounds" which was all about electronic dance music.
His sonic style of music veers from driving-techno to euphoric-trance and from banging-house and progressive to sizzling vocals. Throughout it all, one thing remains clear: When izi.e is behind the decks, not a soul in the club is standing still.
His main influence came from Paul Oakenfold, Airwave, Paul van dyke, BT, carl cox, John Digweed, Marco V, Armin van Buuren, Steve lewler, Tom Novy, Deep Dish, Satoshi Tomiie. His production includes 9 unreleased mix compilations, and several unreleased tracks and remixes for Iio, yahel, samo zain, and Tiesto.
