I WAS SLEEPING

I WAS SLEEPING has been exploring sound for 8 years. Creating for performing arts and performance, he has developed a passion for music in all its forms. Dance music first caught his attention and then influenced his productions for show business.
In 2019, he finally wakes up, gets behind the decks and prepares his first productions.
IWS likes dark disco, techno (minimal and fast), footwork, organ pipe, the lo-fi sound of a gated snare and a voice recorded in the street with a cassette recorder.
His "dada": looking for ways to make sound art and dance music interact.

Depuis 8 ans, I WAS SLEEPING explore le son. En créant pour les arts vivants et la performance, il se passionne pour la musique sous toutes ses formes. La dance music l’attrape puis influence d’abord ses productions pour le spectacle.
2019, il se réveille enfin, il passe derrière les platines puis prépare ses premières productions.
IWS aime la dark disco, la techno (la minimal et la fast), le footwork, l’organ pipe, le son lo-fi d’une gated snare et d’une voix enregistrée dans la rue avec un dictaphone à cassette.
Son dada : chercher comment faire dialoguer l’art sonore et la dance music.
