Itamar Gross

Itamar Gross, pianist, composer, musical director and music producer.
Born in 1980. Itamar has composed music for theatre, film and dance, and works as an orchestrator and musical director for the performing arts in a wide range of independent and repertory stage productions. Gross has collaborated with major musical institutions and artists, including The Israeli Philharmonic Orchestra and the Israel Jazz Orchestra. Amongst his works as a composer- "Muranow" (Jerusalem Film Festival 2020) "Walkers In The Dark" (Seminar Hakibutzim Theatre 2020) "While The Fireflies Disappear" (Inbal Dance Theatre Company 2018) "The Little Mole" (musical play for children 2015) “A Closed Story” (Docaviv film Festival 2015) “The Door Upfront” (Khan theatre 2014) "Pfffffff" (Acco Festival of Alternative Theatre 2013).

In 2021 Gross created with his best friend, writer and director Aharon Levin, a multi-disciplinary performance combining a solo piano, animation and installation art. With the creation of the performance Gross recorded a piano solo album - 13 musical compositions, recorded while performed on an upright piano in an unusual recording method, enabling the listener to feel like they are actually seated near the pianist on a cold wintery night, discovering the story as the music unfolds.
The album invites you to dive into another dimension, and drift away on an emotional journey.
