IRYNA ALEKSIYCHUK
was born in Sverdlovsk Lugansk region (Ukraine).
From 1986 to 1993 got musical education in Kiev National Academy of Music as a pianist (under the creative guidance of professor Igor Riabov); as a composer (under the creative guidance of professor Yakov Lapinsky); as an organist optionally (under the creative guidance of professor Galina Bulibenko).
In 1993 completed the full course of above Academy of music on specialities Piano and Composition with Honour diplomas. From 1993 to 1996 post-graduate student at the composers’ department of Kiev National Academy of Music.
From 1974 to 1983 Prize-winner of numerous regional competitions for young composers and for young pianists (Khmelnitsky). 1993 Diploma-holder of the S.Prokofiev National Competition for young composers (Donetsk). 1993 Prize-winner of the First International Competition for chamber music performers “Golden Autumn” in category Piano Duo with Yuri Kot (Khmelnitsky). 1996 Prize-winner of the 45th International ARD Competition in category Piano Duo with Yuri Kot (Munich). 1997 Prize-winner of the 6th International Murray Dranoff Piano Duo Competition with Yuri Kot (Miami). 2001 Prize-winner of the All-Ukrainian Composers Competition “David Psalms” (works for choir by Bible Texts).
Since 1983 performs a lot in Ukraine (Kiev, Donetsk, Zaporozhie, Vinnitsa, Chernigov, Ternopol, Lvov, Khmelnitski, Kamenets-Podolski, Shostka, Belaya Tserkov, Sumy, Zhitomir, Kherson, Lugansk); Moldova (Chisinau); Serbia (Kragujevac); Germany (Munich, Dresden, Darmstadt); Italy (Carrara) and U.S.A. (Miami) as a pianist, composer, organist and with Yuri Kot as a piano duo.
Often performs with symphonic orchestras of Ukraine, Germany and U.S.A. Among them:
Symphonic orchestra of Bavarian Radio, Munich (conductors - Lothar Zagrosek, Wolfgang Balzer); Chamber orchestra “Merck”, Darmstadt (conductor - Christian Rudolf Riedel); New World Symphony Orchestra, Miami (conductor – Neal Stulberg); State Symphonic orchestra of Zaporozhie philharmony (conductor - Viacheslav Redia); Chamber orchestra “Archi”, Kiev (conductor – Igor Andrievski) Chamber ensemble “Kiev’ Soloists” (conductor – Bogodar Kotorovich) National symphonic orchestra of Ukraine (conductor - Volodymyr Sirenko)National estrada symphonic orchestra of Ukraine (conductor - Natalia Ponomarchuk) and others.
Since 1994 professor of composition, instrumentation and scores reading at the composers’ department of the above Academy.
Since 1998 Member of the Union of Composers’ of Ukraine and National All-Ukrainian Music Union. Member of Ukrainian Association International Piano Competitions’ Prize-winners.
24.02.2000 awarded by L.Revoutski National Prize of Ministry of Culture of Ukraine, National Composers’ Union of Ukraine and National All-Ukrainian Music Union for concert activities and performing of modern music.

I.Aleksiychuk works in various genres, such as: symphonic, choir, vocal chamber and instrumental. Many choirs repeatedly received awards and grand-prixes in the international choir competitions for performing the compositions of a contemporary composer after choosing Iryna Aleksiychuk’s choir pieces.
