Irene Conti Irene Conti Singer/songwriter and classical guitarist from Italy. ------ Irene spent most of her life performing as a classical guitarist. After her debut as a singer for an Mtv show, she started singing in small rock bands and developing her songwriting skills, taking influence from the likes of Katie Melua, OneRepublic, Rufus Wainwright, James Blunt and James Taylor. In September 2007 she obtained a degree in Music theory and Solfeggio at the "V. Bellini" conservatory and in 2009 Irene appeared on Leona Lewis’ favorites playlist for two weeks because she won the 7th edition of “Leona Lewis’ YouTube Singing Competition”. After this invaluable experience she began uploading acoustic cover songs on YouTube. In 2011 she gained popularity online with a YouTube cover of Someone Like You by Adele, with almost 3 million views. In 2014 she self-released her first Acoustic Ep, What Makes Us Human and in 2016 she toured London for Caffè Nero and Westfield London. After spending two years writing music and improving her as a musician, she is back with a new power-pop single, 'Say Hey!', out 29 May. In addition, she is working on her new EP and a new single will be out this summer.
