Rune Wilhelm by ıpı published on 2013-03-06T23:25:22Z I would have loved a rune Wilhelm, but alas my defense level wasn't high enough. Boring technical fluff: FL Studio + a billion instances of Sampler. All VSTs used came with FL Studio (Fruity Parametric EQ 2, Fruity Reeverb 2, etc.). Sorry if using short waveforms is considered cheating, I tried to vary it up a little. They are, of course, all derived from the original Wilhelm scream. One of the biggest problems I faced was with the percussion samples. I reaaaally didn't like any of the 808 percussion samples provided. I decided to EQ them a whole load so that I could get a more useable sound. I then layered over a very very short Wilhelm scream sample to give the percussion a bit more umph. I also don't like most of the overall composition. It could do with being a bit longer, but I felt I was starting to fudge it. This is one of those songs which I built slightly backwards - the last portion of the song was done first - which results in a flow which is unattractive to me, at least. But I hope you'll enjoy anyway. <3 <3 <3 descriptioncore over My entry for Battle of the Bits' Wilhelm 808 battle, which involved using only the Wilhelm scream and Roland 808 rhythm machine samples.
