Insect was born and lives in Warsaw. Since his very childhood, he stayed under the influence of artists such as Jean Michelle Jarre, Tangerine Dream, Kraftwerk and Depeche Mode; thanks to this influence, he was always close to electronic music and his music taste evolved. Always when he had the occasion (or always when his sister left the tape-recorder near enough for him to get it when he was a child :), he listened to old electronics. As a teenager, he got to know The Prodigy which was a breakthrough in his life. When he was 16 years old, he went to his first techno parties; at the beginning, places that he visited most frequently were Trend, THC, Grota, then U-Boot, Kotly, W5. He acquired knowledge also by reading the Plastik magazine about the clubbing culture from that time. He was also greatly influenced by the German Evosonic Radio which operated between 1997 and 1998. Thanks to it, he got to know various music genres. At the beginning, he favored mainly Jungle/D'n'B as well as Psychedelic Trance; hovewer, as time passed and his music taste became more and more evolved, he switched to Techno. His first time behind decks was in 2002. The style, that he represents today is on the one hand a mixture of electro, minimal, tech-house, sophisticated, deep techno, but on the other hand he likes funky, tribal, acid and massive hard techno sounds which are most important to him. Sometimes, he also experiments with NRG, D'n'B and hardcore. He dislikes monotony, therefore his mixes are always build up of different genres. His mixing technique is original, with a lot of characteristic breaks and rewinds. He co-founded 2 projects - Unicron (with Kobe/Hyper DJs) where hard techno tracks are mixed with the use of 4 decks, and Antidox (with Tomaz/Fucking Brigade/Soundfobia) which combines a live act with a DJ set...
