Iñigo Setuaín Antoñanzas Iñigo Setuaín Antoñanzas Vitoria-Gasteiz Iñigo Setuaín Antoñanzas (1994, Vitoria-Gasteiz), is a Spanish saxophone player. He studied the Elementary and Profesional degree with Josetxo Silguero and Iñigo Ibaibarriaga in the “Conservatorio de Música Jesús Guridi” in Vitoria-Gasteiz (Spain), the Bachelor degree with Andrés Gomis and Ángel Soria in the “Conservatorio Superior de Música de Castilla y León” in Salamanca (Spain). After, he studied the Performance Master and a Minor in Contemporary Music with Marcus Weiss and Philippe Koerper in the “Hochschule für Musik” in Basel (Switzerland). He received masterclasses with international saxophonists such as: Marie Bernadette Charrier, Arno Bornkamp, Vincent David, Pierre-Stéphane Meugé, Hans de Jong, Gilles Tressos, Julien Petit, Rodrigo Vila, and Ricardo Capellino. His musical inquisitiveness leads him to create diverse chamber music groups, like Slapsus Quartet; with which he won the “VII Concurso de música de Cámara Juventudes musicales de Ávila” and “I Concurso de Música de Cámara “Jóvenes Músicos” de CyL” in Spain. He got an Anerkennungspreis in the “BOG Competition” with Kugel Ensemble in Basel and in 2018 he was finalist with Kugel Ensemble in the “XX International Chamber Music Competition Luigi Nono”. As saxophonist, he colaborated with the OSE (Basque Symphony Orchestra), the EGO (Basque Youth Orchesta) and the Vitoria-Gasteiz Municipal Windband; participating in several festivals such as the “XVII Saxophone World Congress” (Zagreb, Croacia), in “La Escucha Errante 2018” (Bilbao, España), in the “Sábados musicales” Chamber Music Festival in the Art Museum of Álava (Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain) with Kugel Ensemble, and in the “XI.
