The Hunt [Deradune Zone Music] by Jeff Kurtenacker published on 2013-02-14T17:57:42Z Zone music for Deradune, from Carbine Studios' MMO WildStar! Comment by V That's soo good. Music variety is imho one of the most important parts of game's "output" for players. It transfers emotions. I wish there was tracks layering like in Dota2! Like there are 3,4 versions of the same track adding and removing certain elements like drumworks or horns 2014-02-12T10:48:01Z Comment by Jeff Kurtenacker @wojtekdziwalski: No, where this music plays in Deradune is pretty much stalking your prey and hunting and surviving. There is plenty of chill music in Deradune, but this is meant to give off a more tense vibe. 2014-02-12T01:54:25Z Comment by V this music adds some kind of nervous atmosphere of coming threat. I thought Deradune is more like Barrens from WoW, could use some more chilling tribal themes. Feeling of north african-ish wasteland would make it. 2014-02-11T17:47:10Z Comment by Malorak Yeah, I figured so far. I actually listened to it in...Uh, some videos actually, not just one, and it sounds very nice. I really like it. 2013-06-07T07:03:06Z Comment by Jeff Kurtenacker Thanks for the note. Actually most of the zone themes are bolder, vivid statements of the zone's mood and feel, and then the music trails off into more ambient cues. But this particular piece plays only when you are out in the hunting area with tall grass and sneaking up on creatures, so it works great. The village and more tribal areas have much more appropriate music that is more ambient and fitting for the scenery. 2013-05-28T20:50:49Z Comment by Malorak I'll be honest, I expected something a little more barrens-esque from WoW, including ambient bongo's and flutes. Kinda overtoning for just a zone theme, isn't it? As a theme on its own, still amazing. 2013-05-28T19:34:59Z
