Great White North
One fateful day, two years ago, I stumbled across Zeds Dead & Omar Linx's Out for Blood while surfing youtube. It became the first electro song in a library of random rock, rap, pop, alternative and some 80s, I'm sad to admit. Soon after I discovered Skrillex, and the songs became a playlist. After UKF, Monstercat Media, Never Say Die, Feed Me, Flux Pavilion, Deadmau5, Tiesto, Rusko, Overwerk, Popeska, Porter Robinson, more Feed Me, Noisia, Mord Fustang, Adventure Club, Nero, KOAN Sound, Knife Party, Chrispy, Zedd, Overwerk again, etc , etc, (not in that order) the playlist became the only playlist I actually listened to. I told my friends. They told theirs. 250 deleted boring songs and over 400 dubstep, glitch hop, house, drum & bass, electro house, progressive house, trance, techno, downtempo, breakbeat masterpieces. It was my whole library. It became a lifestyle. It still is. I appreciate other music, (I even play classical on the piano) but nothing comes close to EDM. I never would have thought someone could just change their whole perspective on music in that little time, but I did, and here I am now.
