Exposed to music since childhood, always tapping, always with the necessity of creating rhythms, at age 11 and listening to bands like Depeche Mode and The Cure, he was fascinated by remixed themes of albums such as 'Mixed up', or others like ‘Polydistortion’ by Gus-Gus or so, by the electronic smooth-guitar album called 'Songs of Distant Earth' by Mike Oldfield. All the aforementioned caused him to become an electronic music fan. At age 13 he is faced up for the first time with the acoustic guitar and then with the electric one as well as with a friend’s drums set. This friend teaches him how to play such instruments and shares some principles and foundations of musical theory with him. Hector eventually chooses to play the guitar. Shortly after, he forms his first rock band and begins studies with Hector Castanon, renowned guitar teacher in Mexico, who introduces him to the world of production and gives him the principles of music recording, computer-based music plus midi. Parallel to the rock band, he starts experiencing with a Tascam Multitrack recorder where he makes his own tracks along with his guitar, an electro bass and a rhythmic foundation, everything created in a Synth Workstation of Korg lent by another friend. After six years and an independent released album, the band where he plays, gets split. Later, he moved from Mexico City to Cancun to perform with a band of covers. It is then where he starts going to a couple of electronic music clubs. Captivated by the strength and energy these places project, he decides to venture into it and buys his first drum machine: the Korg ER-1 whose he still works with up to date. Currently based in the city of Barcelona, he keeps on studying music and audiovisual production, as well as evolving and improving his musical career as a DJ. Now producing Minimal and Techno music, which said by himself, are the genders whose he feels more identified with, without neglecting other trends ranging from Deep House, Ambient, Chill Out and Down-Tempo, genres in which he also incorporates some electric guitar riffs be it in Dj'sets or on his own pieces.
Today he belongs to the audiovisual collective project called Glitch Groove based in the city of Barcelona and Guadalajara, Mexico. He also studies electric bass at the moment: this in view of expanding his knowledge as an instrumentalist and not just as a guitar performer, so that he can enrich his musical productions.
